Kaspersky Total Security review

Kaspersky Total Security is a complete security suite that contains almost everything you need to keep your family safe online.

For example, there is a first class antivirus protection program. A smart firewall Navigation protection blocks access to unsafe websites, parental controls help you manage your children's device usage and bank protection prevents others from intercepting your financial information.

Some of the other tools are not as useful as they seem. Kaspersky's secure connection VPN is included, but it's only the free version, where you can't choose a location. It is limited to 200 MB of data traffic per day.

But there is still much power here and many other additional features are worth it. The software update program detects and installs missing patches and an on-screen keyboard prevents keyloggers. There is also a handy network monitor that shows what your applications are doing, an encryption tool that protects your data from spies and a paper shredder that can remove sensitive data to prevent it from being restored.

Kaspersky Total Security is available for Windows, Android, iOS and Mac. Mobile editions do not have all the features we have listed here, but they have other capabilities, including the option to password protect applications and hide confidential calls and texts.

Interestingly, Kaspersky's Security Cloud Suite offers all the functionality of Total Security and some additional features. However, for some licenses, this is a very similar price that you can use to cover up to 20 devices.

Although Kaspersky's pricing policy is a bit confusing, it is largely comparable to similar products. For example, Bitdefender Total Security 2020 includes five devices for the same price of $ 49.99 in the first year and $ 89.99 when they are renewed: it is a little cheaper in the long term, but it is not enough to be a problem if you like the software Kaspersky.

Kaspersky Total Security has one of the best antivirus engines and protects it well against new and known threats. However, the rest of the suite cannot compete, and Kaspersky's own security cloud can provide you with a little more performance at a very similar price.
